Ultimately, the Swedish government opted for a new fighter to be developed by Saab ( Svenska Aeroplan Aktiebolag). Several foreign designs were also studied, including the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon, the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet, the Northrop F-20 Tigershark and the Dassault Mirage 2000. Early proposals included the Saab 38, also called B3LA, intended as an attack aircraft and trainer, and the A 20, a development of the Viggen that would have capabilities as a fighter, attack and sea reconnaissance aircraft. One goal was for the aircraft to be smaller than the Viggen while equalling or improving on its payload-range characteristics. The Swedish Air Force required an affordable Mach 2 aircraft with good short-field performance for a defensive dispersed basing plan in the event of invasion the plan included 800 m long by 17 m wide rudimentary runways that were part of the Bas 90 system.
In the late 1970s, Sweden sought to replace its aging Saab 35 Draken and Saab 37 Viggen. 1.2 Testing, production, and improvements. As of 2020, more than 271 Gripens of all models, A–F, have been built. The changes from the C-series to E-series include the adoption of a new powerplant, the General Electric F414G, an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, and significantly increased internal fuel capacity. Īn updated and redeveloped version, designated Gripen JAS 39E/F but previously referred to as Gripen NG or Super JAS, began deliveries to the Swedish and Brazilian Air Forces as of 2019. On the export market, early models of the Gripen achieved moderate success in sales to nations in Central Europe, South Africa, and Southeast Asia bribery was suspected in some of these procurements, but authorities closed the investigation in 2009. To market the aircraft internationally, Saab formed partnerships and collaborative efforts with overseas aerospace companies, including, in 2001, BAE Systems.
Upgraded variants, featuring more advanced avionics and adaptations for longer mission times, began entering service in 2003.

A new design from Saab was selected and developed as the JAS 39, first flying in 1988, delivery of first serial production airplane occurred in 1993, and entered service with the Swedish Air Force in 1996. In 1979, the Swedish government began development studies for an aircraft capable of fighter, attack, and reconnaissance missions to replace the Saab 35 Draken and 37 Viggen in the Swedish Air Force. Later aircraft are modified for NATO interoperability standards and air-to-air refuelling. Gripen A- and C-series are powered by the GE F404G engine (previously designated Volvo RM12) and the E-series is powered by the GE F414G engine, and has a top speed of Mach 2. Various versions have been built, grouped as A-, C- and E-series.
The Gripen has a delta wing and canard configuration with relaxed stability design and fly-by-wire flight controls. This is not a problem, it's just much easier to work with closer to the root of the drive, like "C:\WarThunder" or "D:\WarThunder" for example.

I don't know why this is now the default path the windows installer uses. You installed war thunder to your %APPDATA% directory.
#War thunder cdk install#
Way back in the day the install use to be "X:\War Thunder" which caused many many problems for users with the CDK, so much so that I believe this is the reason they ultimately switched it to "X:\WarThunder"įew things. The CDK sets up all the paths using antiquated batch scripts that (while they are more than capable of including quotes within them) don't seem to be able to handle spaces in the paths. There is only one space in the path, and that is within your windows username.
If I were to take a guess it would be your username. DxDiag and the error message is attached.
